Someone asked, “Dude, where do you find the time to write so much? You’ve posted like ten days in a row—sometimes multiple pieces in a day.”
The answer is rather simple: I’m just that good!
No, I’m kidding.
Seriously, though, I write every day. Even if it’s just a sentence, a thought, a concept—something that lands in my head and exposes itself, demanding to be written down.
Google Docs is such a great tool for that. I carry it with me on my phone and can throw down a few words whenever they hit me.
Like a digital traveling journal.
I have a folder with literally dozens of drafts in various states of completion. I’m always tinkering with them. Some days, they simply flow all the way to completion. Other days, they just change shape a little. A sentence gets rewritten. An idea takes a different direction. Something gets cut. Something else gets added.
I suppose it’s like an artist who sketches every chance they get. They see something, feel something, imagine something—and they put it down on paper before it disappears.
I like to think that I am doing the same. Except I’m simply sketching with words. Some people doodle. I apparently have chosen to doodle paragraphs.
That’s really it.
I write.
Every day.
Sometimes it becomes something. Sometimes it just sits there waiting for me to figure out what the hell it wants to be.
Nothing to it.
Just me, a phone, a Google Doc, and a head that apparently refuses to shut the hell up. I’m basically carrying around a notebook in my pocket, writing things down before my brain changes the subject again.
The rest is just me pretending all of this is intentional.
There’s more waiting at https://xinkblotz.com.
Telling stories, sharing thoughts, and drinking coffee. A blend of fiction, reflection, and whatever’s brewing—one post at a time.
Stories have always traveled best by word of mouth. If one of these finds a place in your heart, I’d be honored if you’d drop a like or share it with someone else.
